State of the Industry

The mental health industry is shifting faster than most clinicians realize, and those changes are landing in the therapy room. This two-hour crash course examines the funding, payer, and delivery trends reshaping behavioral health across private practice, agency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Participants will leave with a clearer picture of how pharmacology, wearables, and emerging care models are redefining what client-centered practice looks like today and in the years ahead.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify at least three current funding and payer trends affecting behavioral health service delivery across practice settings.
  2. Describe the relationship between payers, providers, inpatient care, and outpatient care within the current behavioral health continuum.
  3. Explain how emerging developments in pharmacology, wearable technology, and implantable devices are influencing client care and clinical practice decisions.
